Funeral Set
JESSE S. DENMAN
MILLBURN – Funeral services for Jesse S. Denman, 69, retired Millburn farmer and secretary of Millburn Mutual Insurance Co. for 39 years, will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow in Strang Funeral Home, Antioch.
Mr. Denman, who retired in January from the insurance post, died at 8:45 a.m. yesterday in Victory Memorial Hospital after a lingering illness.
The Rev. L. J. Messersmith, pastor of Millburn Congregational Church of which Mr. Denman was a deacon on the church board for many years, will officiate.
Burial will be in Millburn Cemetery. Friends may call at the Strang Funeral Home after 2 p.m. today.
He was born Christmas Day, 1885, in Deerfield, and lived in Gurnee for a short time before moving to Millburn. He belonged to the Lake County Farm Bureau and was active in all civic affairs of his community.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret White Denman, Oct. 1, 1952.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Grace Kane, Mundelein, Mrs. Margaret DeYoung and Mrs. Alice Bauman, both of Millburn; two sons, Kenneth and Robert of Millburn; two brothers, Schyuler, Waukegan, and Edwin, Gurnee; a sister, Mrs. Minnetta Bonner, Rhinelander, Wis., and nine grandchildren.
