EDWARD A. CLARK
GURNEE-Edward A. Clark, 83, of Gurnee, a gardener at the estate of
Mrs. Anna Galt in Gurnee, died last night in St. Therese Hospital,
Waukegan. He was ill about two years.
A lifelong Lake County resident, he was born Sept. 24, 1879, in
Benton Township.
Mr. Clark and his wife, Elizabeth, were married Feb. 10, 1904, in
St. Patrick's Church in Wadsworth and celebrated their golden
wedding anniversary in 1954.
He was a member of St. Patrick's Church, its Holy Name Society and
the Lake County Farm Bureau.
Surviving are his widow; three sons, Louis and Robert, both of
Waukegan, and Frank of Druce Lake; two daughters, Mrs. James
(Margaret) Lahey of Millburn and Mrs. Anthony (Edith) Klem of
Waukegan; a sister, Mrs. Charles (Maud) Ollerenshaw of Wadsworth;
15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A son, Earl, died in February 1952.
Requiem Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Patrick's
Church with burial in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. today at the funeral home at 1521
Washington St., Waukegan, where the Holy Name Society will recite
the Rosary at 8 p.m. tomorrow.
