Mrs. Stewart, wife of George L. Stewart, died Wednesday morning at
her home on Genesee street. She had been out of health for some
time. Mrs. Stewart had many friends in this city. She formerly
resided in Millburn where she was highly esteemed. The funeral was
at the home Friday morning. The burial was at Millburn. The floral
tributes from the Millburn church choir, the Congregational church
Sunday school, of this city and from the sub-treasury at Chicago,
were beautiful. Mr. Stewart and his daughter Florence have the

Mrs. George L. Stewart died at her home in Waukegan on Wednesday
of last week., after a brief illness of only a couple of weeks and
was laid at rest in the cemetery at Millburn Friday last. Mr. and
Mrs. Stewart were formerly residents of Millburn and moved to
Waukegan some three years ago, where they resided at the time of
her death. Mrs. Stewart was well and favorably known to many of
our people, who join with the News in extending sympathy to the
bereaved husband and daughter, who still survive to mourn the loss
of an affectionate wife and mother.
