Drowned while bathing on Sabbath Evening.
We understand that a young man by the name of Alexander Jamieson,
was drowned while bathing on last Sabbath evening, the 4th inst.,
in Millcreek, near Mr. Pollock’s sawmill, town of Newport. We
trust that this may serve as a warning to young men--not to bathe
or idle away their time on a day set apart for
better purposes.
