The Historic Millburn Community Association, Inc. (HMCA) is more than just a museum. We have a wealth of information about the history of Millburn, its early settlers, early businesses, community activities, and genealogical information for you to access online. We hope you enjoy delving into the wealth of information we've included on our Website. Keep in mind as you are reading that we are able to share this information with you because of a handful of dedicated volunteers who spent countless hours doing all of this research the hard way---traveling to various libraries, using the microfilm machines to read historic newspapers, transcribing newspaper articles by hand, and then typing them out for inclusion here. Countless hours were spent interviewing people whose families have been in the area for generations and collecting documents and memorabilia. The founding members of the HMCA made this endeavor possible. We owe them a debt of gratitude for their boundless energy and foresight.
Feel free to e-mail us if you have any questions. Also, please share any information or photographs that you have pertaining to the Millburn area and its early families. We are always updating our files and adding to our collections. Millburn was an unincorporated community that was annexed to the Village of Old Mill Creek in 1991. Therefore, we refer to it here as Millburn of Old Mill Creek. |
