from a loose clipping, source unknown 16 February 1883
HUNTLEY-At Millburn, Friday, Feb. 16, of consumption, Charles Huntley, aged 46 years.
Mr. Huntley came to Lake county with his parents from Bristol, Vt., in 1814; at the age of ten years he had inflammatory rheumatism which made him an invalid for life; in 1870, while riding on horseback, the horse slipping on the ice fell on his right limb breaking it. While confined to his bed, his eldest son died of scarlet fever and, in a few years, he lost two more with consumption. He has been able to do some farm work until a few months ago. He was confined to his bed only two weeks. His last sickness was one of great suffering, which he endured with great patience, and at last peacefully passed away. Mr. Huntley was a brother of I. D. Huntley, of Muskegon, Mich. and Mrs. C. A. Mathews, of Millburn.
