This school building stood on the east side of US Route 45 at the south village line.
Built in 1920, just after the consolidated Millburn District 24 was created, this building was in continuous use until December, 1962, when a new school was built on the east edge of the village.
The large windows on this south face allowed ample light to enter. There was no electricity available until almost 1930.
This building has been demolished and the site is now part of a farm field.
Teacher for many years, Mrs. Alice Anderson, lived across the street.
