Nita K. Bonner
Nita K. Bonner, 84 years old, of Millburn, IL, passed away
Wednesday, November 16, 2005 at the Victory Lakes
Continuing Care Center, Lindenhurst, IL.
She was born September 6, 1921 in Miller, S.D., the
daughter of the late Aubrey Nelson Truax and Maize McKinney
Truax, moving to Lake County in the early 1930's where she
graduated from Ela Vernon High School in Lake Zurich. On
December 22, 1941, she married W. Roy Bonner in Millburn
where they operated a farm for many years. He preceded her
in death on December 1, 1999. Nita was a member of the
Millburn Congregational Church and the Ladies Aid Society.
Survivors include three sons, William H. (Kathlyn) of Fort
Calhoun, NE, David C. (Ann) of Old Mill Creek, IL and
Stephen R. (Eileen) of Spring Grove, IL; three daughters,
Jane (Bernard) Weber of Westfield, WI, Debra (Peter) Bol of
Lindenhurst, IL and Mary (Mike) Ksioszk of Lake Villa, IL;
15 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by
two brothers, Richard and Charles Truax.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday,
November 21, 2005 at the Millburn Congregational Church
with the Rev. Jed Watson officiating. Interment will be in
Millburn Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00
until 6:00 P.M. at the Strang Funeral Home of Antioch, 1055
Main St. (Rte 83), Antioch. Visitation at the church Monday
will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services. Those
desiring to do so may make contributions, in her memory, to
