Ralph Dodge, 79, of Mesa, Arizona, formerly of ;Millburn, Illinois
died Friday, May 6, 1983 at the Mesa General Hospital.
He was born in Millburn, Illinois and was an area resident most of
his life. He moved to Arizona 14 years ago. He was a retired
Bell Telephone employee.
Survivors include his widow, Alice, of Apache Junction, Arizona; 2
sons, Ralph Jr. and Roy; 1 daughter, Alice; 2 brothers, David and
George; 13 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Memorial services will be held at 1 P.M. Saturday, May 14, 1983 at
the Millburn Congregational Church in Millburn with the Rev. L. H.
Messersmith officiating. Graveside services will follow at
Millburn Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Strang
Funeral Home, Antioch, Illinois.

Roderick D. Ames, 71, of rural Zion, died May 14, 1983 at St.
Luke's Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
He was born May 26, 1911 in rural Lake County. Mr. Ames was a
member of the VFW; the Gurnee American Legion; the Local
Carpenters Union No. 448 and was a life member of the Victory
Memorial Association. He was a veteran of World War II, having
served in the U. S. Army, and along with his brother had owned and
operated Ames Brothers Construction Company for many years.
Survivors include two sons, Curt (Diane) Ames, Wadsworth and
Raymond (Sue) Ames of Spear Fish, South Dakota; two daughters Mrs.
Jane (Terry) Pearce, of Vernon Hills, and Mrs. Ruth Anne (Tom)
McGuire of Medford, Wisconsin; two brothers, Alfred (Evelyn) Ames
Sr., Zion and Wallace (Betty) Ames of Fox Lake; one sister, Mrs.
Geneveve (Bud) Wingert, of Ingleside, Colorado; and five
grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian in
1980; and two brothers, Otto :"Fritz" Ames in 1975 and Arthur Ames
in 1976.
Funeral services will be Wednesday morning at 10:30 a.m., May 18
from the MARSH FUNERAL HOME, 1521 Washington St., Waukegan, with
the Reverend Marshall Peterson of the Immanuel Baptist Church
officiating. Interment will be in Mount Rest Cemetery in
Rosecrans. Friends may call from 7 to 9 PM on Tuesday at the
funeral home. Memorials may be made to Victory Memorial
Developmental Fund (Cardiac) in Mr. Ames memory.
