Funeral services held for popular
Kelso resident, Dr. R. C. Taylor
The funeral service for Dr. R. C. Taylor was held on Monday, Nov 27th at 11 am,
in the Kelso United Church, with Rev. C. F. Martin, Moosomin, officiating.
Interment was made in the new Kelso cemetery. Pallbearers were F. M. Porter,
F. Steele, N. M. Porter, V. B. Hambleton, H. Ferguson and F. Greenbank.
Surviving are his widow and two sons, Glenn at Kelso, and Merrill of Chicago,
Ill. and one grandson.
After practicing medicine for 25 years at Lily Lake, Ill., he was forced by ill
health to retire and came with his wife and family to live on his farm, four miles
south east of Kelso, in 1922. About ten years ago he and his wife moved into their
home in the village where they have since resided.
Dr. Taylor, although in poor health for some years, was seriously ill for only a
few days, so that his passing came as a shock to his many friends and neighbors.
The Kelso community wish to extend sincere sympathy to the bereaved family.
