Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Bonner entertained on Christmas day with the following guests for dinner: Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Denman, of Gurnee, Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Denman and children, Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Denman and daughters, and Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Denman and sons, of Waukegan.
On Tuesday night the children of the Sunday school gave their entertainment in a crowded house. The children were more than pleased by the appearance of Mrs. Santa along with Santa Claus.
Mr. and Mrs. Martin and son Richard, spent Christmas with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Achen, near Kenosha.
Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Pierstroff and daughters, Margaret and Ruth, spent Wednesday and Thursday with Mrs. Beck, in Evanston. Margaret remained for a week's visit with her grandmother.
Mr. and Mrs. L. S. Bonner and children were guests for dinner at the Victor Strang home in Waukegan on Christmas day.
Mr. and Mrs. F. G. Edwards and children spent Christmas with Mr. and Mrs. J. Kaluf, of Grange Hall.
Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Bauman and children were entertained for dinner on Thursday at the Charles Holdridge home near Waukegan.
Dr. and Mrs. H. E. Jamison and Doris spent Christmas with Mr. and Mrs. George White.
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Edwards and sons Webb and Marc, and Mr. and Mrs. John Dickey and son, of River Forest, spent Christmas with Mr. and Mrs. D. B. Webb.
Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Bonner, Vivien Bonner and Annie and Ella McCredie spent Christmas with Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Bonner.
Word was received Friday of the death of Henry Patch in Los Angeles, Calif. where he had gone to spend the winter with his sister. His body will brought back for burial in Millburn cemetery.
Rev. Charles Pierstorff, of Poynette, Wis., visited his brother, A. H. Pierstorff, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Schwicht entertained their children from Chicago, on Christmas.
Mr. and Mrs. S. W. Ames, of Gurnee, spent Sunday at J. G. Bonner's home.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Edwards and family spent Thursday afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. Kaluf of Grange Hall.
Rev. Hallock of Wauconda took Mr. Piersdorff's place at the Sunday morning services. Mr. Hallock will preach here again next Sunday.
The funeral service for Henry Patch were held Friday at 1 o'clock from the home of his daughter Mrs. E. J. Murrie of Lake Villa. Rev. S. E. Pollock of Antioch officiated. Interment was made in Millburn cemetery.
Mr. and Mrs. William O'Conner spent New Year's Day at Elkhorn, Wisconsin.
A Christian Endeavor social was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Bonner, New Year's eve. Progressive games were played.
Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Bonner, Miss Vivian Bonner and Miss Annie McCredie spent Saturday with Mrs. Mina Gilbert, Waukegan.
Marc Edwards returned to his home at River Forest, Friday evening after spending the holidays with his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. D. B. Webb.
Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Martin and Richard spent New Year's Day in Chicago.
The Christian Endeavor business meeting was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. L. S. Bonner on Friday evening.
Vene Denman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Denman was taken for appendicitis. The operation took to a hospital in Waukegan Friday place Saturday morning.
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Bonner, and daughter Jean, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bonner and sons and Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Bonner and family were entertained at dinner on New Year's Day at the W. M. Bonner home.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Holdridge and daughter Grace of Waukegan were callers at the Lewis Bauman home, Tuesday.
George Achen of Kenosha spent the weekend with his cousin Richard Martin.
Bernice Bauman and Marian Edwards motored to Lake Zurich, Wednesday. Miss Alice Bauman returned home with them.
Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Slocum entertained relatives to a New Year's Day dinner.
Vene Denman is in Victory Memorial hospital recovering from an operation for appendicitis performed last Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. William O'Connor spent New Year's day with friends at Elkhorn, Wis.

Miss Helen Neahaus, of Chicago, spent the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. O. P. Neahaus.

The Christian Endeavor society held its December social at the W. A. Bonner home on Wednesday evening, and the business meeting for January was held at the L. S. Bonner home on Friday evening.
Marian Edwards and Bernice Bauman spent Wednesday at the Pomeroy school, at Lake Zurich, where Miss Alice Bauman is teacher.
Alta Denman spent several days of her vacation with friends in Lake Forest.
Mr. and Mrs. Peters spent New Year's with relatives in Evanston.
Mrs. Mary White, of Waukegan, spent Saturday and Sunday with friends at Millburn.
Mrs. C. L. Alling spent several days with friends in Milwaukee.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Schwicht moved on Thursday to Mrs. John Irving's farm, at Hickory.
Rev. and Mrs. A. H. Pierstorff and daughters and Rev. R. C. Halleck, of Wauconda, were guests for dinner at the J. S. Denman home on Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bonner attended the funeral services of the latter's uncle, Thomas Beaumont, at Rochester, Wis., on Thursday.
Mrs. Fred Achen, of Kenosha, spent Thursday with her sister, Mrs. E. A. Martin.
Mr. and Mrs. K. F. Stoeckert, of Chicago, spent Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. O. P. Neahaus.

Robert Hughes, while returning from Antioch Sunday morning, was crowded off the road into the ditch, resulting in a broken wheel to the car.

Vene Denman returned to school on Monday, after three weeks' absence following an operation for appendicitis.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Peters and Dorothy spent Saturday and Sunday with relatives in Evanston.
