John McGuire of Antioch called here Friday.

Mrs. Jack Rowland fell last week and broke her collar bone.

The Minnesingers were greeted with a full house Thanksgiving.

Miss Ruby Strang of Gurnee is visiting relatives and friends here.

Mrs. Victor Strang and son is visiting her parents at Three Oaks, Mich.

Miss Margaret Gilbert of Dekalb, Ill, spent the week-end with her mother.

Mrs. Helen Buss of Rochester, Wis., is visiting her aunt, Mrs. G. Jamieson.

Mrs. L. A. Heitmann of Chicago spent a week with Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Tower.

Mrs. Menzo Webb entertained her brother and family of Libertyville on Thursday.

Mr. Rouser and Mr. and Mrs. Horner of Freemont, Mich., father and sister of Mrs. Neahaus are visitng her.

Miss Bessie Baker of Highland Park, former teacher of Grubb school spent Thanksgiving with Mr. and Mrs. Marselis.

A. K. Bain, wife and daughter spent Thanksgiving at Clarence Bonner's at Park Ridge. Mr. Bonner accompanied them home to attend the funeral of Miss Lawrence.

Geo. Jamieson fell Friday on the floor and broke his hip. His daughters, Mrs. Jessie Mitchell of Waukegan, Alice of Berwyn, Ill., and Vinnie of Kenosha were at his bedside Sunday.

Miss Margaret Lawrence, formerly of Millburn died Nov. 27, at Newton, Mass., and was buried in Millburn cemetery Friday morning. She leaves her mother and sister besides many relatives and friends.

Ed Dodge of Rochester, Wis., is calling on old friends.

Mrs. E. A. Martin and J. S. Denman are in the German-American hospital.

W. B. Stewart and wife expect to leave next week for California for the winter.

Dr. Jamieson, E. A. Martin, Mrs. C. E. Denman and Percy Hook were Chicago visitors this past week.

W. J. White and wife of Waukegan celebrated their fortieth wedding anniversary Thursday, Dec. 4. Many from here attended.

Leon Strang is working in Chicago.

Ray Eusden of Marne, Iowa, is visiting friends and relatives here.

The Millburn Insurance Co., will hold their annual meeting Saturday, Jan. 6.

Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Stewart left on Tuesday for St. Petersburg, Florida, to spent the winter.

Mrs. J. S. Denman visited J. S. Denman Sunday and he was able to accompany his wife home.

The Sunday School will hold their Christmas exercises Sunday evening. There will be special music.

E. A. Martin spent Sunday with Mrs. Martin at the German- American hospital. Mrs. Martin expects to return home next week.

Jessie Strang is visiting relatives at Lake Villa this week.

Mrs. E. A. Martin returned home from the hospital Sunday.

Miss Ida Christiansen is home from Milwaukee visiting for the holidays.

John Bonner and sons and their families spent Christmas with relatives at Russell.

Miss Helen Safford of Darlington, Wis., is spending the holiday vacation with her parents here.

Warren Cleveland of Chicago, Mr. Gray of Wheaton, and Miss Maude Cleveland of Iowa, spent Christmas with Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Cleveland.

Miss Jessie Cannon spent a few days with her brother and family at Area the past week. A son was born to Mr. and L. B. Cannon Dec. 21, but has died.

Mr. and Mrs. V. H. Strang and son and Mr. and Mrs. L. S. Bonner and daughter spent Christmas with the Dawsons, at Three Oaks, Mich.

Miss Pollock of Chicago and cousin Leland Ross, of Fort Worth, Texas, spent Christmas with their aunts, the Misses Belle and Margaret Watson.
