Mrs. Mathilda Jamieson, mother of Dr. Jamieson of Millburn and one of the old county settlers, born in 1832, died Sunday at the family home in Millburn, and the funeral was held Tuesday at 1 o'clock from the residence to the cemetery at Libertyville.

Mr. A. H. Stewart spent Thursday in Chicago.

Robert Bonner spent Sunday with the home folks.

Mr. Thornton Willouby and family have moved into Mr. Chope's house.

Edwin Thom spent Sunday, with his family at the home of his brother William.

Fred Dewey from the west is visiting his sister, Mrs. John Wedge, and other relatives here.

Miss Mamie Trotter of Evanston, visited several days the past week with her sister, Mrs. A. K. Bain.

Mrs. Matilda Jamieson, Dr. Jamieson's mother, died Sunday night and was buried Tuesday at one o'clock at Libertyville.

W. G. Thom had the misfortune to have two fingers cut off in a corn binder last Thursday while cutting corn for Alfred Spafford.

Mrs. Libbie Bonner of Russell spent a week with her sister, Mrs. John Bonner. Grant Murrie of Russell also spent Sunday with them.

Mrs. Smart and daughter of Antioch also Miss McNamer visited the McDougalls last Wednesday. Miss Marion McDougall returned with them.

Rev. A. W. Safford announced Sunday that he would take a two weeks vacation and next Sunday the pulpit will be occupied by a speaker from Chicago.

Mrs. Mary Mavor of Chicago, Mrs. Eliza Hughes of Libertyville and Mrs. Jessie Yule and daughter Edith and baby of Somers, Wis., visited their mother, Mrs. Robert Strang, Thursday and Friday.

Mr. and Mrs. David White and family, Margaret, Bertha and George White, Mr. and Mrs. John Bonner and J. S. Denman attended the wedding of Miss Vera Worden and Mr. Leslie Kamper at Rochester, Wis., Oct. 1. Rev. A. W. Safford of Millburn officiated.

Mr. and Mrs. Finnegan of Waukegan took dinner Thursday with the ladies at the church.

Rev. A. W. Safford and Mrs. Safford and Miss Foote are on their vacation. They will return next week.

Mrs. Dodge of Rochester, Wis., and son, Geo. Dodge of Canada, visited at W. S. Thomas' and David Whites', and called on old acquaintances. Mrs. Dodge will make her home in Canada.

Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Miller will return to Highland Park this week.

Mrs. A. K. Bain entertained her brother, Fred Trotter of Chicago Sunday.

Dr. Jamison, brother and sister, returned to their homes Tuesday.

The Millburn Ladies' Aid Society will hold their annual bazaar November 3rd.

Miss Florence Andrews of Lake Forest spent Sunday and Monday with her aunt, Mrs. W. B. Stuart, and other relatives.

Rev. Mr. Johnson of Chicago filled the pulpit last Sunday and will preach this Sunday. Come and hear him.

Mr. and Mrs. Van Patten gave a dinner in honor of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Miller, who leave this week.

Wm. Thom of Libertyville spent a few days with his son, W. S. Thom.

Mr. and Mrs. Weaver of Baraboo, Wis., attended the funeral of the formers sister, Mrs. Jamison.

J. A. Thain, Geo. Miller and daughter Vera were Chicago visitors Tuesday.

Mrs. Geo. Dodge a sister of W. J. White of this place, and a resident of Millburn for the past sixty years left Tuesday evening for Saskatchawan, Canada, where she will make her future home.

Mr. and Mrs. W. J. White on Wednesday received an invitation to the wedding of the former's cousin, Mr. Frank R. White to Miss Eva Jule Schide, which occurred in the Phillipine Island on Thursday September 15. The groom is superintendent of the schools of that place and the bride a native of the United States has been a resident there the past four months. They will make their home at Manilla. On account of the distance the invitation arrived a month late, but Mrs. White says they might not have gone anyway.

The Ladies' Aid society will hold their annual bazaar Nov. 3.

Rev. Johnson of Moody Institute, will again fill the pulpit Sunday, Oct. 16. Come.

Mrs. Edwards and Mrs. McGuire of Hickory, attended the Ladies' Aid Thursday.

Miss Marion McDougall has returned from Antioch where she visited for some time.

Misses Ethel McGuire and Jessie Jamieson spent Friday with Mrs. Newell at Zion City.

Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Hughes and children spent Sunday with the home folks at Libertyville.

Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Spafford of Antioch, formerly of Millburn, are rejoicing over the arrival of a son.

Mr. and Mrs. Finnegan of Waukegan, took dinner with the Ladies' Aid and demonstrated the vaccum cleaner.

Jessie Anne Strang, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Strang, has been sick for two weeks with a run of fever.

Mrs. Sarah Dodge of Rochester, Wis., and son George Dodge of Canada, visited friends and relatives the past week.

Rev. A. W. Safford started Friday on his vacation and Mrs. Safford and Miss Foote will visit in Wheaton and Chicago.

Mrs. Mary White and cousins, Mrs. Anna Patterson and daughter of Pennsylvania called on friends and relatives and took dinner with the Ladies' at the church.

MRS. MATILDA JAMIESON
Matilda Weaver was born Aug. 11, 1832 at Camillus, N. Y., and died at Millburn Oct. 3, 1910. In 1844 she came west with her parents who settled in Kenosha county, Wis., where she grew to womanhood. She was united in marriage to John S. Jamieson Sept. 25, 1857. In 1867 she moved with her family to a farm near Libertyville and later to Libertyville village where she continued to reside until the death of her husband March 12, 1907. Since that time she had made her home with her two sons, dividing her time between them. Her health had been failing for a few months and after a brief illness she passed peacefully to rest. She leaves three children, Dr. Homer E. Jamieson, Mrs. Florence M. Seavey of Kansas and George Jamieson of Cherry Valley, Ill., all of whom were present to care for her during her last illness. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. A. W. Safford, interment being made in Lakeside cemetery at Libertyville. Mrs. Jamieson was a woman of noble character and was held in high esteem by all who knew her.

OBITUARY
Mrs. Matilda Jamison, born Aug. 11, 1832, at Camillus, N. Y., died at Millburn, Oct. 3, 1910.
Matilda Weaver in 1843 came west with her parents who settled in Kenosha County, Wis., where she grew to womanhood.

McNamara of Antioch attended the missionary meeting at Miss McDaugal's Wednesday.

Mrs. W. H. Miller was a Chicago visitor last Wednesday.

Mrs. I. L. Holmes left Monday to visit her sister and other relatives in Indiana, near Logansport.

Fred Dewey is visiting his sister, Mrs. Wedge, this week.

Rev. A. W. Safford will take a two weeks vacation.

Miss Mamie Trotter of Evanston visited from Thursday until Sunday with her sister, Mrs. A. K. Bain.

At the missionary meeting Wednesday there was $24 taken and over 40 were present.

Miss Marion McDougall is visiting friends in Antioch this week.

Many of the young people attended the concert at Hickory Sunday evening.

The following ladies will serve dinner for the Ladies' Aid Thursday: Mrs. David White, Mrs. K. L. Strang and Mrs. Ella McCredie.

Mrs. J. L. Holmes returned home Friday from Indiana.

Mr. and Mrs. Edmonds spent Sunday with relatives in Waukegan.

W. J. White of Antioch transacted business in Millburn the past week.

Miss Bae Adams visited from Friday until Sunday with her grand parents.

Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Miller returned to their home in Highland Park Saturday.

Miss Lura Gilbert and friend of Fort Hill visited her cousin Miss Mabel Bonner Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Thom of Libertyville spent a few days with there son W. G. Thom this week.

The Millburn Ladies Aid society has bought a Vaccum Cleaner and it will be found at Mrs. A. K. Bains.

Mr. and Mrs. R. Pantall went to Chicago Lawn Sunday for a weeks visit with their daughter, Mrs. Adams.

Mrs. James Pollock and daughter, Miss Bertha Cory and Mrs. John Fulton, also Mrs. C. B. Cummings all of Waukegan spent Thursday in Millburn.

Mr. and Mrs. Gene Strang of Waukegan called on the home folks Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Bonner spent Sunday at A. K. Bain's.

Born, Sunday, Oct. 23, a daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Warren Hook.

R. L. Strang is confined to the house with an attack of typhoid fever.

Rev. A. W. Safford and Mrs. Safford and Miss Foote returned home Friday.

Mr. Martin of Wheaton spent Friday here in the interest of Wheaton College.

Mr. and Mrs. Bates of Berwyn spent Saturday and Sunday with A. H. Stewart.

Mrs. Mary Yule will leave soon to spend the winter with her daughter in Dakota.

Mrs. Janet Mathews is visiting friends and relatives this week at Pikeville and Antioch.

Mrs. Foster of Pontiac visited several days with her cousin, Mrs. Josephine Mathews.

Miss Agnes Bonner spent from Wednesday until Friday with relatives at Lake Forest.

The C. E. Business meeting will be held at the home of C. E. Denman on Friday, Oct. 28. A cordial welcome is extended to all.

The Ladies Aid society will hold their annual bazaar on Thursday, Nov. 3. Supper will be served from 6 p. m. until all are served and sale begins at 7 p. m.
