Mr. Bock was in Chicago last Tuesday on business
The schools here began on Tuesday morning.

Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Matthews entertained relatives at dinner on New Years.
Ross Stewart of Chicago spent New Years with parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. H Stewart.
Mary Yule, who spent Christmas week with Mrs. R. L. Strang, returned to Waukegan last Friday.
Last Sunday the S. S. officers were elected for the ensuing year; Rev. A. W. Safford, Superintendent; D. H. Minto.

Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Stewart are entertaining their son, Ross, of Chicago.
Mr. and Mrs. Cannon were in Chicago visiting friends.
George Safford is visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Safford.
Earle White leaves Wednesday to resume school duties at Champaign.
Miss Una Minto will leave Tuesday for Endeavor, Wis., where she is teaching.
Victor Strang will leave for school at Beloit, Wednesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Mathews entertained for New Year Mr. and Mrs. Davis, Mrs. Fairbanks, of Waukegan, and Mr. and Mrs. Menzo Webb and family, of this place.
The Missionary meeting will meet with Mrs. Strang, Wednesday of this week.
Miss Anna McCredie returned Monday to Deerfield where she is teaching.
The Hockaday school opened Tuesday. They had 10 days vacation. Miss Vanalstine is teacher.
Mrs. Julia Adams and children were out for New Years visiting Richard Pantall.

The stage is now owned by Dr. Jamieson and the business is cared for by Charles Ames.
J. M. Strang shipped a car load of cattle Saturday night to Chicago.
The Dodge family and Mr. and Mrs. Bock took New Years dinner with David White's.
Mr. and Mrs. James Thom are visiting Mrs. Thom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Yule of Somers.
Mr. and Mrs. John Bonner gave a party last Friday evening to thirty young people. A good time reported.
The young people of the C. E. society gave a surprise party Jan. 1st, to Mr. and Mrs. Harold Minto. A jolly good time was enjoyed.
Wm. Chope has rented his farm to Marshall Odett.
Leslie Cannon, Helen Safford, Ruby, Pearl and Ole Cleveland return Monday to Rochester, where they are attending school.
The social that Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Stewart gave the C. E. society was well attended and a good time was enjoyed by all who were there.
Mrs. Vanalstine entertained the Warren society last Wednesday on account of the bad weather only a few came.
The Ladies Aid Society of Millburn will meet Fri. Jan 12th, 1906 with Mrs. John Thain.
The business meeting of the church was held Monday afternoon at the church.
Miss Vivian Bonner has recovered from her recent illness and is able to resume teaching this week.

The south side telephone meeting was held in the Dodge school house last Monday night.

The Ladies Aid society will meet with Mrs. John Thain on Friday afternoon, Jan. 12.
Helen Safford, Margaret and Bertha White, Earl Crawford, Leslie Cannon, Ole Ruby and Pearl Cleveland returned to Rochester, Wis., the fore part of this week.
On Sunday evening, Dec. 31, Mr. Elmer Pollock started for Florida where he was summond to the death bed of his little son who has been there all winter with his mother, who went there for the benefit of her health.
On Wednesday the third of January, at the home of Rev. and Mrs. A. W. Safford, occurred the marriage of their daughter, Clara Mildred, to Ralph Lowrie Wheaton, of Wheaton, Ill. Mr. and Mrs. Wheaton went on a wedding trip to St. Louis.
The C. E. business meeting will be held at the home of Miss Carrie Bater on Friday evening, Jan. 19. It has been postponed on account of prayer meeting Friday night of this week.
On Thursday evening, Jan. 4, Antioch Lodge No 127, A. F. & A. M., of Millburn, installed their officers elected for the year as follows; Edward Martin, W. M.; George Gerrity, S. W.; Elmer Murrie, J. W.; James Jamieson, Sec; Richard Pantall, Treas.; Chas. Harbaugh, S. D.; Alfred K. Bain, J. D.; Henry Patch, S. S. ; John A. Thain, J. S.; Henry Miller, Tyler; John Darby, Chaplain. Installing Officer, Past Master Charles Harbaugh; Marshall, John D. Murrie. After the installation the Masons and invited guests were entertained with music, singing and recitations and a very able address by Secretary James Jamieson which was listened to with much interest. A banquet was served later in the dining room.
The Misses Cowins of Chicago are spending a few days with their sister Mr. A. H. Stewart.

Miss Marie Popp is the guest of Mrs. George Gerrity.
Simeon Ames returned from Atkinson, Neb. Last Friday. His Uncle Will Ames came with him to visit Chas. Ames and other relatives. The business meeting of the C. E. society will be held Friday evening after service.
Elmer Cannon received word Saturday morning that his father died that morning in Oklohoma.
Fred Cannon of Aurora was here the fore part of the week to attend his father's funeral.
Mr. Cannon was buried at Hickory.

Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Strang gave a euchre party last Wednesday evening to about fifty of their friends. A fine time was reported by all.
Miss Clara Safford, daughter of Rev. Safford, and Ralph Wheaton of the town of Wheaton, Ill., were married at the parsonage June 3rd Their home will be at Wheaton.
Mr. Emert moves back to the city. Mr. William Thomas has bought the farm where he lived, known as the Yankee Smith place.
There was a very enjoyable tea party at Henry Wedges last Saturday evening.
Fred Cannon of Iowa arrived here yesterday to attend his father's funeral which was held in the Hickory M. E. church Wednesday.
Alfred Bain, John Trotter and Mr. Irving were in Chicago Wednesday.
Mrs. Cantall visited last week to Chicago Lawn, Ravenswood and Evanston.
Mrs. Wentworth returned last week from a month's visit in New York City.

On account of the bad weather last Sunday there were no services held morning or evening.
Mr. ___Cannon of Iowa who came to attend the funeral of his father, spent a few days with his brother Elmer at this place before returning home.
Mrs. Wentworth returned from New York where she has been visiting for the past month.
Mr. Fred returned to Iowa Wed. He came here to attend his father's funeral.
L. J. Cannon of Oluster, Okla. will return home this week.
Miss Carrie Bater is visiting Mrs. F. T. Lee of Maywood.

Mr. George Dodge attended the Farmers Institute at Gurnee Wednesday and Thursday and was the guest of Ralph Chitenden. A number of young people from here also attended.
