Monday evening the pleasant home of Mr. and Mrs. I. R. Webb was
the scene of unusual mirth and melody, the event being a surprise
on their daughter, Mrs. A. H. Stevens, of Duluth, Minn. About
forty of her old time friends and associates were present and a
most enjoyable time was had by all. H. D. Hughes planned the
surprise, which was so successfully carried out that none of the
family had any intimation of what was 'in the wind' until the
house was taken possession of by their friends.
