This book was published in 1891. It was sold by subscription for $15.00.

We're told that it was compiled from forms filled out by the citizens. Perhaps an early form of the vanity press. We have noticed that these citizens may have sufferred from selective amnesia, as they often fail to mention events that we have learned from other sources. Regardless, this book has been an invaluable source of information for us.

We have found this volume in a number of local libraries, usually in locked cabinet. We know that there are two copies of this text in the Antioch Public Library, 757 Main Street, Antioch, IL 60002. Phone (847) 395-0874. They are in the locked cabinet under call number A 977.321 Por. They are for reference only and do not circulate.
