Grubb School

One of the first organized schools in the Millburn area was Grubb School. We find this school's name spelled both as Grubb and Grub in our records.

We've have a photo of the school building today. Grubb School ceased operation in 1935.

Several former Grubb School students set about writing a record, probably in 1918, and we have that writing in our collection today. It was written on very poor quality paper and is in extremely poor condition. Our volunteers have attempted to transcribe this writing into the form you'll see today.

We think that the major contributors were: Irene B. Kidd, Margaret Jack, Harold Hughes, Elma Cannon, and Mary Wolz. There were probably many others.
