Tombaugh
Dr. Leon H. Tombaugh. Born on March 29, 1852. Married Casandra Bellmine Tappin in the fall of 1878. She was known around town as Bella. Children: Raymond Standley, born in 1879. Town doctor. Moved to Waukegan, Ill., (February 21, 1909 ?). He died on August 4, 1930.

Newspaper ad from April, 1904, lists: In addition to general practice special attention is given to Obstetrics and the Diseases of Women; Office at 119 N. Genesee St. (over Lords); Residence at 419 Grand Ave.; Hours 1 to 4 P.M. and 7 to 8 P.M.; as well as telephone numbers for home and residence.

Bella died at age 97, at the home of her son in Logansport, Indiana. She was born on November 27, 1856, in Millsburg, Pennsylvania. Her parents were George and Sarah Greenfield Tappin (also seen as Toppin). She moved with her husband from Millburn to Waukegan in 1900. She moved to Logansport in 1944.
