In future years he also participated in the construction and subsequent renovations of Sheridan, Everett, Cherokee and Deerpath. Harry was legendary for his mechanical ability, effectively and cheerfully helping his friends. For many years he was a volunteer with local Boy Scouts, driving the bus to Camp Ma-Ka-Ja-Wan in northern Wisconsin. He is a member of the American Legion and a former President of the National Association of Power Engineers. He served on the Board of the East Fox Lake Cemetery.
