Grace D. Kane
Grace D. Kane, 85, of Libertyville, died July 31 at Winchester House in Libertyville. She was born Oct. 19, 1915 in Millburn, Ill., the daughter of the late Jess and Margaret (White) Denman and has been a life long resident of Lake County. Grace attended Millburn Grade School and Antioch High School and was a member of Millburn Congregational Church and the Diamond Lake Methodist Church. For over fifty years she worked at the Lake County Fair. She also was a volunteer worker for the Mundelein Grade School.
Survivors include her son Kenneth (Sue) Kane of Mundelein; two daughters, Barbara (David) Wrench in Arizona and Donna (Raymond) Gaddis in Virginia; one sister Alice Bauman; and one sister-in-law Carol Denman of Lindenhurst; seven grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth and Robert Denman and one sister Margaret De Young.
Graveside services were held Aug. 3 at Millburn Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Meltzer of the Millburn Congregational Church, officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association in her memory.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Strang Funeral Home of Antioch.
