Charles A. Truax, 93 years old of Watertown, Wisconsin formerly of Bristol, Wisconsin and Milburn, Illinois passed away Saturday October 13, 1990 at the Clearview Nursing Home, Juneau, Wisconsin.
He was born March 9, 1897 in Iowa the son of the late Andrew and Anne (Proska) Truax. On August 2, 1922, he married Sophia A. (Marie) Depke in Waukegan, Illinois and she preceded him in death on December 23, 1965. They had lived in Milburn, Illinois until 1938 when they moved to Woodstock, Illinois and then to Bristol in 1951. He has lived in Watertown, Wisconsin since 1974. He was a farmer most all his life. He served in the U. S. Navy during WWI.
Survivors include one son Glenn A. (Nell) Truax of Watertown, Wisconsin, two grandchildren, Carol Wright of California and John of Watertown, Wisconsin. Beside his wife he was preceded in death by four brothers; William, Bob, Phil and Frank and by three sisters; Kate Anderson, Lu Schroeder and Bell Memes.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM Wednesday October 17, 1990 at the Strang Funeral Home, 1055 Main St. (Rt 83) Antioch, IL. Interment will be in Millburn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 AM Wednesday until time of service.
