Margaret A. Gilbert
Margaret A. Gilbert, 91, of Millburn, Illinois, died Monday,
May 7, 1984, at Victory Memorial Hospital, Waukegan.
She was born June 10, 1892, in Round Lake to the late Tyler and
Mina (Bonner) Gilbert, and had lived in Millburn, Gurnee and Waukegan
for 36 years before moving back to Millburn in 1977. She had been a
teacher at the North Chicago Grade School District No. 64, before her
retirement in 1957. She was a member of the Millburn Congregational
Church and the Delta Kappa Gamma Education Fraternity.
Survivors include 1 sister, Lura Culver of Millburn; 1 niece,
Jean Wooley of Millburn, 1 great nephew and 1 great great nephew.
She was preceded in death by 1 sister, Ruth.
Funeral services will be 1:30 PM Thursday, May 10, 1984, at the
STRANG FUNERAL HOME, 1055 Main Street, Antioch, with Rev. L. H.
Messersmith officiating. Interment will be in the East Fox Lake
Cemetery, Lake Villa Township. Friends may call at the funeral home
from 4 to 9 PM Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, friends desiring may
make contributions to the Millburn Congregational Church in her
memory.
