Mrs. Eunice C. Denman, 82, 0f Gurnee, Illinois died Monday morning, April 2, 1979 at St. Therese Hospital.
She was born July 16, 1896 in Gurnee and had been a lifelong resident of the area. She was a member of Millburn Congregational Church in Millburn; the Ladies Aid Society of the church; a member of the Lake County Homemakers Extension; a member of the Lake County Association for the Blind and a member of the Warren Township Historical Society.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Vene Cermak of Antioch, Mrs. Alta Mae "Ann" Harding of Gurnee and Mrs. Frank (Laura) Schmitt of McHenry, one brother Howard (Marie) Bond of Libertyville and a sister, Mrs. Harry (Iva) Powis of Gurnee. 10 grandchildren and eight great-greandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin, in 1965; her son-in-law, Charles Harding in 1976 and a granddaughter, Elaine Harding in 1974.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Gurnee Funeral Home, 4190 Old Grand Ave., Gurnee with the Rev. Donald A. McPeek and the Rev. L. H. Messersmith officiating. Interment will be in Warren Cemetery, Gurnee. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 until 9 p.m. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Millburn Congregational Church or the Lake County Association of the Blind.
