Bertha Newman
Funeral services for Mrs Bertha White Newman, 87, of Gurnee,
were held August 25 in Antioch.
Mrs. Newman died August 23 at the Terrace Nursing Home,
Waukegan. She was born in Antioch Township and had lived in Boulder,
Colo., Waukegan and Millburn. She was a registered nurse and had
worked in various hopitals and later as a private nurse. She was a
member of the Millburn Congregational Church.
Survivors are two step-daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Anderson of
Tempe, Ariz and Mrs. Florence Holberg of Denver.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, by two
brothers, George and Carl White and by one sister, Margaret Denman.
Interment was in Millburn Cemetery. Contributions may be made
in her memory to the Millburn Congregational Church or your favorite
charity.
