MRS. MAUDE H. KENNEDY
Mrs. Maude H. Kennedy, 77, of 926 Grove Ave. died Saturday in
Victory Memorial Hospital after a seven-month illness.
She was born Oct. 27, 1881, in Antioch Township. Her parents
were Hughes and Eliza J. Strang, pioneer residents of the Millburn
area. She was married to Frank B. Kennedy in 1902 in Millburn
and they began farming north of Hickory Corners, Rte.45. They
retired in 1937 and moved to Waukegan. Mr. Kennedy died on April
21, 1949.
Mrs. Kennedy is survived by three sons, Roy G. of Orlando, Fla.,
Richard H. of Baltimore, Md. and Harold F. of Evergreen Park; two
brothers, Guy Hughes of Antioch and Carl of Lake Villa; three
grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. tomorrow in the Strang Funeral
Home, 1055 Main St., Antioch. The Rev. L. H. Messersmith of
Millburn Congregational Church will officiate. Burial will be
in Hickory Union Cemetery near Antioch.
Friends may call at the funeral home until time of services.
