Bertha White is visiting her aunt, Mrs. Ida Douglas in Waukegan.

Mrs. Hardy of Waukegan is visiting with her brother J. A. Thain.

Mrs. Mary Yule is visiting her daughter, Mrs. Gerrity in Waukegan.

J. S. Denman's friend Edward Voos returned to his home last Friday.

Miss Helen Safford is entertaining a friend from Bowmanville.

Mrs. Libbie Padgett and sister Jessie Jamieson are visiting their parents here.

Try to attend the C. E. Echo Rally at Deerfield Friday night, August 3.

Mrs. Lottie Bain and daughter returned to their home in Racine last week.

Mrs. A. H. Stewart will entertain the Ladies Aid society on Thursday afternoon August 2.

Mrs. Fred Denmann of Highland Park spent a few days last week with her sister, Mrs. C. E. Denman.

Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Stewart, Mr. and Mrs. John Bonner, Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Stewart and Miss Carrie Bater took in Ravina Park last Saturday afternoon.

On Thursday afternoon James Kerr and wife and Peter Lund and wife went to Millburn to be initiated into the Eastern Star lodge. This chapter is just starting and they are about the first to be initiated.

Miss Clara Foote returned from her visit last Friday.

About forty attended the Ladies' Aid Society at Mrs. Stewart's last Thursday.

Clarence Bonner was home from Chicago over Sunday.

Mrs. Etta Wienecke went on a visit to Sycamore last Wednesday.

Many from here attended the big Waukegan picnic last Wednesday

Mrs. Eliza Chope is visiting with Mrs. M. Lewis

Miss Marjory Cannon visited last week with uncle her Will Cannon, of Zion City.

Mr. and Mrs. Evan Colwell visited last Friday with Mr. and Mrs. W. G. McGuire.

Mr. and Mrs. Grice, of North Chicago, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Strang.

Mrs. H. G. Harris has been entertaining her friend, Mrs. Needham, of Waukegan for a few days.

Mrs. John Wedge is in Waukegan taking care of Mrs. Amanda Hockaday who has been very sick.

Rev. Mitchell, of Oak Park, was here on business last Saturday.

Will Strang was a Chicago visitor last week.

Mr. Will LeVoy, of Belvidere, was here over Sunday with Mrs. Wienecke.

Mr. Dippy, of Chicago, is visiting with Mrs. Gerrity.

Robert Bonner has been visiting with his cousins in Russell for a few days.

Mrs. Harris, of Peoria, is here visiting with her daughter, Mrs. Jessie Thom.

Miss Edith Morehead, of DeKalb, is here visiting with Miss Vivien Bonner.

Geo. Safford returned to Chicago Monday after spending a few days with his parents.

Mrs. John Wedge returned from Waukegan last Friday where she has been taking care of Mrs. Amanda Hockaday.

Mr. and Mrs. Scott LeVoy and son, of St. Johns, Ind., are here visiting with Mrs. Wienecke.

Word reached here on Monday of the arrival of a son at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Bock, of Davidson, Can.

Mr. and Mrs. Victor Rosback, of Evanston, came out in their auto last Friday and visited at John Trotter's.

Mr. Wentworth and Miss Cook, of Chicago visited on Sunday with the former's father here.

Mrs. Ralph Wheaton is here visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Safford. Mr. Wheaton was here over Sunday.

The C. E. Society gave a "Hard Times" social on the lawn at the parsonage on Tuesday evening, Aug. 14. Watermelon was served.

Mrs. J. M. Strang gave an afternoon party one day last week in honor of Mrs. Lawrence, who is going west about the first of September.

Mr. J. S. Denman, Miss Mabel Bonner and Miss Helen Safford attended the Echo Rally at Deerfield last Thursday night. The reports of the meeting were given last Sunday night.

Miss Alice Jamieson, of Berwyn, spent Sunday with her parents.

Mrs. Halloway and son, of Missouri, are visiting with their aunt, Mrs. Pantall.

Mr. and Mrs. John Buss returned home Monday.

Miss Kittie Smith is able to be about the house again.

Miss Carrie Bater returned from Kenosha last Friday.

Miss Nellie Robinson, of Kenosha, is visiting with Carrie Bater.

Mr. and Mrs. John Buss and son spent a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Jamieson last week.

Mrs. H. G. Harris entertained her sister Miss Bashan and friend Mr. Geisler, of Chicago, from Friday till Sunday.

Miss Edith Morehead returned to her home in De Kalb last Wednesday. Miss Vivien Bonner went with her for a week's visit.

Miss Vera Worden, of Rochester, Wis., is spending a week with Margaret White.

Will Thom is all smiles since the arrival of another boy.

Miss Erma Van Duzer, of Antioch, is spending a week with Miss Jessie Jamieson.

Mr. and Mrs. Robertson, of Williams, Iowa, are visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Geo Jamieson.

Mr. and Mrs. H. G. Harris entertained their nephew from Geneva, Wis., over Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. Lyburn Stewart and child, of Chicago, are visiting with Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Stewart.

Mrs. Hillman, Mrs. Cole and their children, of Lake Zurich visited from Monday till Wednesday of last week with Mrs. Wienecke.
