One of the thrifty country churches in our county is the Congregational church of Millburn, now enjoying the faithful ministrations of Mr. Homer J. Parker, who is soon to graduate from the Chicago Theological Seminary. Last Sabbath this church received nine new members, on the profession of their faith. Rev. H. C. Hitchcock, of Kenosha, on exchange, administering baptism and the communion, in place of Mr. Parker, who is not yet ordained. One of the candidates was baptized by immersion in the O'Plain, that stream serving as "Jordan" to the people of that neighborhood. One of the remarkable features of the Millburn church is that the whole congregation attends the Sunday school completely filling the house.
