Newspaper Clippings for
June, 1866

from the Waukegan Gazette23 June 1866
Festival at Millburn.-By reference to a card in another part of this issue, it will seem that the ladies of the Congregational Church at Millburn, propose holding a Strawberry and Ice Cream Festival at Hughes Hall, on Thursday evening next, the 28th inst., to aid in furnishing their new Church. Not only is the object meritorius, but those who attend are sure to have a very pleasant evening. It might not be out of the way to remind the young gentlemen who read the Gazette that moon-light evenings, horses and buggies, strawberries and cream and charming ladies are not bad things in the month of June-although the latter are palatable at any season of the year.
